2008 DOHE Grants

On July 24, 2008, the Dubuque Old House Enthusiasts's President, Dick Vorwald and Community Grant Chair, Cinda Welu, were thanked prior to convening the board meeting at The Carnegie-Stout Public Library.

The Old House Enthusiasts's Community Grant of $4,000 was given in part of the proceeds from our 2008, 22nd Annual Tour of Homes.

This is the second grant to the library. Two years ago, funds were provided to allow the renovation and preservation of the library's original massive front doors.

A second grant of $1,000 was given to the Ham House Museum for period costumes for their docents.

A third grant of $1,800 was given to the City of Dubuque to install a bench in the Farmers Market area.

These grants are a part of the Dubuque Old House Enthusiasts's mission to preserve and restore Dubuque's area architecture.
